Yet another day of strong S'lies was forecast so I changed my morning off this week from Tuesday to Monday. Went to Shoreham first and met up with Simon with both of us expecting to sail there but even right on low tide at 9.30am it looked very onshore mushy, closing out and uninviting. I didn't expect Lancing to be much better either so we drove straight on to Worthing.

Proper windy on arrival but the onshoreness meant I decided to rig big. I was a tad concerned that I would be mega-overpowered but it turned out that for the first hour the 5.2/waveboard combo was spot on. Worthing in a S'ly delivered the goods again producing the usual amazingly well spaced waves with huge flat gaps inbetween. The lack of chop meant that stacks of power could be carried and it was great to have that feeling of being completely maxed-out but not at all overpowered at any point. Overall not the most exciting of sessions since it was too onshore to make the most of the waves, but great nevertheless to be out in the sunshine fully powered up and flying along, planing fully out of gybes and scoring a few decent big jumps.

Towards midday the wind started to drop off and it was almost time for me to head back to work so I cut my losses and finished the session slightly earlier than planned to prevent any downwind drifting. Now double figures for sessions this November - what a month, and still more wind on the way. :)
